Do you do perms?
Not at this time. Ask me again when it isn't trending as a workaround for proper home hair care.
I just want a trim / haircut? I don't need anything "fancy" ...?
You're the kind of person who wants to try the sushi restaurant but hopes there are chicken nuggets on the kids menu, eh?
This isn't an a la carte menu, on purpose.
What people actually come to me for is the home care routine. That's what the blog is, that's what the tutorial is, it's why I schedule longer for a consultation to ensure I cover what you're using at home, and you can't pay me enough to send you home with habits you don't know are hurting you.
The rest is practical. I'm not dulling my blades on hair coated in wax and microplastics, and you're not walking out with hair that still feels dry from hard water. The included clarifying and deep conditioning is how I protect my work and best help your hair.
So the price you see is the price. I'd rather be upfront than advertise a "starting at" price and then charge you for two things you didn't know you needed.
Why do curly cuts cost more than regular haircuts?
Here, they don't. Everyone starts with the same treatment cut, whatever your texture. No curly tax, no surcharge for density or length. The price reflects the time, 1.5 to 2 hours for the clarifying, the deep conditioning, the cut, and the styling tutorial. That's the same whether your hair is coily or straight.
What decides the different price points?
You do. This is a sliding scale. I'd rather you have security because you can put your hair on a regular schedule, instead of having to stretch out your haircuts indefinitely until you hate it. Cut back when you need to, splurge when you can, pay it forward for someone else.
What if I don't want a haircut, or already have one?
Every color package already includes the cut, so you never add it separately. You can swap it for a deep conditioning treatment if you'd rather. If you don't want color either, Breezin' is your option. Treatment, blowout, styling tutorial, no cut, no color.
Do you do gender-affirming haircuts?
Yes. Pricing is based on time and work, not gender, so nobody pays more for the same service. I don't make assumptions about what you want based on how you look, and you tell me your pronouns on the intake form before you ever walk in. One client at a time, so there's no audience.
Do you offer balayage for curly hair?
Yes! Curly hair balayage requires a different approach than straight hair balayage. I hand-paint color in a way that enhances your curl pattern and grows out beautifully. My "Here Comes the Sun" package includes full balayage or maximum lift high-contrast highlights.
What kind of curly cut do you do?
